I remember the time that my son caught his first cold. He was miserable, waking all hours of the night and couldn’t breathe. As a first time parent I had no clue how to make him feel better, until I heard about Crane Humidifiers from our Pediatrician.

Crane makes products that are not only cute, they are designed to help you live a better life.

Crane has developed a new line of Germ Defense Humidifiers and we were asked to review one in our home. I received the Germ Defense Cool & Warm Mist Humidifier with Digital Display.

Do you know the difference between a Warm Mist and a Cool Mist Humidifier?

The main difference of a Warm Mist and a Cool Mist Humidifier is a matter of preference.

The Germ Defense Humidifier will give you the option to choose between either cool mist or a warm mist. You will find that the warm mist is often great for the colder months and the cool mist is better for the warmer months. The idea is that the humidifier will either help cool down or warm up the room, providing a better comfort level for breathing.

What makes a Germ Defense Humidifier different from the rest?

Have you experienced an off smell from your humidifier before? I have, and it’s come from humidifiers that we have used all season. This always makes me wonder what is going into the air.

The Germ Defense Humidifiers come with a antimicrobial protection that helps keep your humidifier’s mist clean. There is also an ionizer included, with the push of a button it will help add freshness to the water vapor coming out of the humidifier.

Here are my thoughts:

The Crane Germ Defense Humidifier has a price tag of $110 dollars. To be honest, at first I thought this was steep and would have never considered purchasing this when there are basic humidifiers for half the price.

Since using this humidifier in my home I have realized and come to love many things. Included in this one humidifier is a cool mist and warm mist option, we have both kinds of humidifiers and purchasing them separately would have easily added up to the cost of this one humidifier.

The Antimicrobial protection has given me a peace of mind knowing that the mist coming into my child’s room is germ free. There is a difference in the smell and the air does smell much cleaner.

I LOVE the digital display! I can choose how long I want the humidifier to run from 1-12 hours or continuous, the humidity level can be customized, the ionizer definitely makes a difference in the quality of air and the 360 degree nozzle makes it easier to direct the mist into your child’s direction versus straight up into the air.

Now that I have had a chance to use the Crane Germ Defense Cool and Warm Mist Humidifier this would be something that I would recommend. The benefits out weigh the cost and I can see this humidifier lasting for many years to come.
