If anyone knows how to make low cost dinners it would be the Duggar Family. I saw their show back in May when they prepared a common dish for their family, Tater Tot Casserole.
This inspired me to add Tater Tot Casserole into the mix of Low Cost Dinner Ideas here on my blog.
Using only 5 simple ingredients, less than 5 minute preparation time and a dish with leftovers galore, this is a must have dinner on your meal plan.
Here is what you will need:
-
1 Bag of Tater Tots
-
1 Can of Cream of Mushroom Soup
-
1 Bag of Frozen Peas
-
1 Bag of Ground Beef or Turkey
-
1 Bag of Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Instructions:
Grease a 9X13 baking dish with Pam. Line the bottom of your baking dish with the uncooked ground beef or turkey. Next, layer your bag of tater tots on top of the bottom layer. Then take your can of Cream of Mushroom soup and evenly spread it over the tater tots. Third, spread your bag of frozen peas over the top of your tater tots and Cream of Mushroom soup. Finally, spread your shredded cheese over the top of your layers.
Your finished uncooked dish will look like this

Heat your oven to 350 degrees and cook for 20 minutes.
Take of the oven, mix everything up and throw it back in the over for 20-25 minutes
(Until meat is cooked)

This was a yummy dish that our whole family enjoyed.
My husband even went for a 3rd helping :)

Enjoy!
