The Step2® Company, LLC, headquartered in Streetsboro, Ohio, is the largest American manufacturer of preschool and toddler toys and the world’s largest rotational molder of plastics.

We have been looking for the perfect outdoor toy for our two little ones. Andrew is a preschooler and Andrea just turned 1, so to find a toy that they could both play in without getting bored was becoming a challenge.

The Step2 Neat and Tidy Cottage has become the perfect outdoor toy for our family.

The first feature that I really liked about the Neat & Tidy Cottage is the molded in floor:

We wanted to put the Step2 cottage out on our deck however, the deck is getting old and becoming very splintery. With Andrea still learning to walk, and still occasionally crawling, we like that the cottage has a molded in bottom to keep her knees and tiny little feet splinter free.

The working doorbell, mailbox and phone have created life like fun for my two little ones. They both enjoy pretending to call mommy and daddy and my son loves to make daddy sit inside while he rings the doorbell to come in.

There is a built in kitchen table, kitchen sink, burners and two seats. Perfect size for my 4 year old and my 1 year old to come out and enjoy a snack together.

This playhouse is not just a Spring and Summer kind of toy.. my kids enjoy it in warm or cold weather.

My son particularly loves to sweep the snow out of his house just like mommy and daddy do on their cars.

My Thoughts:

The assembly was easy for my husband to do, took him about 30 minutes, while outside on the deck, in the dark. The Step2 Neat & Tidy Cottage has a small footprint, would be great for small areas such as a playroom or a deck.

I really like that this playhouse is one that will last a long time, even though my son is 4 he loves playing in the Neat & Tidy Cottage and when he is done with it my daughter, who is 1, will have plenty of more enjoyment for years to come.
