We are down to less than two weeks to Halloween. Can you predict which costumes we will see the most of this year?

While there will be plenty of witches, goblins, ghosts, and princesses out there, I think we will be seeing a lot more of fancy dress costumes.

This Summer was huge with the Superhero movies, from Batman : The Dark Night, to Spiderman, Brave, and The Avengers. After viewing the selection of Halloween costumes from Fancy Dress Ball, I think these characters are going to be out trick or treating in full force!

According to a recent National Retail Federation survey, Americans are expected to spend nearly $2.87 billion on Halloween costumes. They also anticipate that the average person will be spending $79.82 on Halloween candy, costumes and decor.

Do you spend that much on Halloween?

With over 9,000 consumers being surveyed, here are 2012 predictions of the top Children’s Halloween Costumes:

  1. Princess
  2. Batman
  3. Spiderman
  4. Witch
  5. Disney Princess
  6. Action / Superhero
  7. Pirate
  8. Vampire
  9. Zombine
  10. Ghost

Are your children going to be dressed up as any of these characters?
