christmas tree

This holiday season my family needed a new Christmas tree. Our old one was missing too many needles and only half the lights actually worked. I wanted a real tree but having one around with a 2 year old and pets it was quite risky, others felt it was too much of a fire hazard. I began looking at the Brylane Home website and was delightfully surprised to see a nice selection of Christmas Trees. I have plenty of personal tree decorations, but a pre-lit tree seemed easier. I selected the 7.5 foot slim tree and soon it arrived in a slender box on the doorstep. I thought they had sent the wrong tree at first because the box was SO light. At 9 months pregnant I am grateful for this.

christmas treeUpon opening the box I pulled out the pieces. It looked easy enough to put together. I put the feet on the base, the 3 layers stacked right on top of each other and stood it up. The ceiling in the living room is 8ft so I had just enough room for a tree topper.

Connecting the light plugs was very simple to do, however, I do wish the cord coming from the tree was a little longer as I had to dig up an extension cord just to get it to the nearest outlet. I plugged in the tree and stood back to admire. I am not very good at “fluffing” the individual branches so I did my best and then watched my husband come around to perfect them.

B loves the tree and the “pretty lights” and he was so happy to help put on our decorations. It’s funny how a few decorations I gave him ended up on the same branch, but it was cute!

I was a little baffled at first how high the bottom branches were from the floor but come Christmas Eve I quickly had a better understanding. Our gifts piled up nicely underneath and we didn’t have to take up too much floor space because of that.

I would recommend this tree if you are looking for an elegant faux tree for the holidays that is extremely light weight, easy to assemble, and slim.

This is the time of year to take advantage of After Christmas Clearance. Your’s is a beautiful tree and b/c its tall and slender would be good for people with less space. Thanks for the head’s up.

  7. Sandy VanHoey says:

Our tree is only like 3 years old and beautiful but sheds needles more than a real tree. I’d like to get one for next year that doesn’t lose so many needles.
