Good Seasons Italian Dressing Chicken, Green Beans & Potatoes Recipe

Italian Dressing Chicken Bake

Pinterest has spawned another dinner idea in our house tonight! Chicken, Italian dressing mix, green beans, and potatoes. I’ve seen this idea all over Pinterest and have no idea who to give credit to. However, whoever came up with it deserves all the credit in the world because this is…

We are talking less than a 5 minute prep time, an hour in the oven and waaa laa. Super easy dinner that isn’t too bad on the waist line!

chicken dinner with green beans and potatoes

Here is what I used:

  • 1 Lb Boneless Skinless Chicken – I used tenders in my dish to make the splitting of servings a little easier
  • 1 or 2 Cans of Green Beans – I used french style green beans, but really any green veggie would work here
  • 5 or 6 Small New Potatoes – Diced up into quarters
  • 1 Package of Italian Dressing Mix – I used a .7 Oz Packet from Good Seasonings
  • 1 Stick of Butter – I used “I can’t believe it’s not Butter”

Servings : We were able to get 3-4 servings from this dish which came to just under 500 calories per serving

Preheat Oven to 350 degrees

Organize your chicken, green beans and potatoes in a 9X13 casserole dish. Sprinkle your packet of Italian Dressing mix over the entire dish. Then melt your butter in the microwave and pour it over everything.

Cover with aluminum foil and cook for 1 hour.

Easy Peasy right?

  • This is awesome! I tried it also in less than 5 minute prep time, an hour in the oven and viola. I really enjoyed this chicken and Italian dressing mix. Good Job Amanda!

  • Made this using Ranch seasoning mix instead of Italian. I put in about 1/2 of 16oz package, on the chicken and potatoes (not the beans!) and it was delicious! Chicken was tasty and juicy.

    • That sounds yummy! Thank you for sharing your twist on our recipe :)

  • Can I use frozen chicken?

    • It would be best to have the chicken thawed out. Your cooking times will increase if frozen and will affect your potatoes if cooked for too long. Hope this helps!

  • Do you drain the green beans?

    • Hi Jenn! Yes, I do drain the green beans. :)

      • Thanks for the recipe Amanda! It was awesome. Everyone loved it including two picky boys!

  • This is definitely one of my family’s favorites. But I found it took longer than an hour. I LOVE easy dinners that taste like it took tremendous effort! What they don’t know…..!

    • If you use bigger pieces of chicken it can take longer than an hour, we used smaller tender sizes and it is always done within an hour.

  • Looks so good! I have everything on hand except these kind of potatoes. Will russet work as well??

    • I used russet turned out just fine

  • Can you use potatoes that aren’t new reds? Has anyone used any additional seasonings?

  • This looks really good, and so easy! I am definitely going to give this a try very soon!
