How do you celebrate Halloween?
I love to bake treats, listen to scary Halloween music, and have fun making spooky things with my children. This year was no different! Now that Andrew is bigger, he is very much into the Halloween spirit.
Kraft sent to us an amazing package of goodies to help inspire our Halloween desserts and meals, and that it did!
Here is what we received:
- 3 Bags of Halloween Jet-Puffed Marshmallows – In all new shapes & flavors!
- 2 Halloween JELL-O molds and JELL-O product
- 1 Package of Halloween Oreo Cookies
- 2 Boxes of Velveeta Cheesy Potatoes – New Flavors!
- 2 Seasonally Inspired Flavors of Philadelphia Indulgence
- Rachel Ray Orange Casserole Dish
- Kids Halloween Apron
- Halloween Serving Dish
- Pumpkin Party Picks
- Glow in the Dark Halloween Cups
Andrew and I wanted a little time to play together, so he put on his Kids Halloween Apron and snuck a pumpkin Jet-Puffed marshmallow while I set up.
Every product that we received was peanut and tree nut free, according to the label. Kraft is one brand that I love for this very reason. While not every Kraft product is nut free, a lot of their products are safe for my son and I love that Kraft makes baking and cooking so easy when dealing with his allergies.
Looks gross doesn’t it!
The kids are really into making foods fun so this Brain JELL-O mold was perfect for our Halloween festivities. Andrew thought it was really going to taste like a brain. Funny kid.
The mold was super easy to use and had no problems getting the JELL-O out.
This is one reason that I could never become a vegetarian. Seriously… BACON!
Kraft made our dinner that night. We made some of their amazing Fresh Take Italian Parmesan chicken tenders, dipped with spaghetti sauce. For a side we made Kraft’s new Velveeta Cheesy Bacon Scalloped Potatoes.
This was so good, we made extras for lunch the next day and it was even better the second time around. We will definitely be getting these potatoes again!
Spook a licious treats are the best part of Halloween! Andrew and I were excited to make ourselves a little pumpkin patch.
Here is what we did:
Made 1 batch of brownies, per the instructions on the box. Then I let them cool…
Next thing I know, my brownies look like fudge and not brownies! I posted to Facebook about this and everyone seemed to think that fudgy brownies are the best, so we went with it.
Then I added a layer of chocolate frosting on top (this helps to hold up the pumpkins).
For grass, I took coconut and placed it into a baggie with a few drops of green food coloring… Shake
Then I placed the “grass” on top, added some pumpkin shaped Jet-Puffed Jumbo Marshmallows.
Now we have a pumpkin patch!
I love coconut and the combination of these ingredients was super yummy.
